Cory grew up in North Bay, Ontario and joined the board in November 2018. He worked on his B.Sc. in his home town and travelled to Ottawa, Ontario for his M.Sc. He speaks both English and French and has a very broad background in ecological research. He has worked on projects ranging from ungulate population dynamics in Gros Morne National Park Newfoundland (joint with Parks Canada) to pollination ecology of endemic orchids in Northern Ontario to examining how urbanization is affecting pollination services and pollinator population health in Ottawa Ontario. Outside of work, he enjoys spending lots of time hunting, fishing and exploring the land. Him and his fiancé both try to stay active through exercise and walking the community.
